Terms of Service

Last updated April 8, 2025

Agreement

By using Tacit ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you're using Tacit on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

What the Service does

Tacit is a Slack bot that captures product feedback from your team's conversations and organizes it into a structured knowledge base. You connect your own Slack workspace and provide your own AI API keys to power the service.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the Slack workspace you connect and the data your team sends to Tacit. You must have the necessary permissions to install apps in your Slack workspace and to process the messages that Tacit receives.

You are responsible for your own API keys and any costs incurred through their use. Tacit uses your keys solely to process data on your behalf.

Your data

You retain ownership of all data you provide to Tacit, including Slack messages and the knowledge base content generated from them. We do not use your data to train AI models or share it with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the service.

See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

Acceptable use

Don't use Tacit to process data you don't have rights to, violate any laws, or abuse the service in a way that degrades it for others. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Service availability

We aim to keep Tacit running reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the service or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
